The Big Sit — An Idiot-Proof Plan to Fix Covid and Make Everything Better

I’m not a scientist or public health official; really, I’m not an expert of any kind. But I had an idea the other day — an idea to fix coronavirus — and I managed to beat back the pessimism and despair I’ve been feeling lately just long enough to write the idea down.

So, here goes:

First, block out X number of weeks on the calendar and pay everyone to stay home. Pay businesses to shut down, too — make everyone whole. Pay the essential workers who will keep on working extra money…
